Sort of reminiscent of SBXXXIV in that way. The GSOT gets most of the credit but the Titans still had time and the defense had to finish things off.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
Yeah, I was reading on Wikepedia how Scully got pissed at NBC for what he felt was getting screwed over. He used to call games with Hank Stram but when Madden started, they were trying to figure out who to pair him with. Scully and Summerall rotated games with him depending on their other commitments and ultimately, they chose Summerall over Scully as the #1 broadcast team and for the Super Bowby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com

QuoteLesBaker Because the only time it really clicked was 99-01 and all of those players have retired. LOL Good luck getting that type of talent assembled on one roster again. That was a fluke, lightning in a NFL bottle if there ever was a case of that!!! Boy it was one he11 of a ride though wasn't it my friend.I'd settle for '03 and Bulger and 447 points. May not have been GSOT, but it waby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
Mannion is unproven but with this team, spending $6.5M on a Shaun Hill like deal for Keenum would be crazy. Keenum is the worst QB in the NFL and hasn't thrown a TD pass in 14 quarters straight. Some want to sugar coat and gesticulate about why he's good despite what we can all see, but he isn't worth much of anything as a starter and would cost way too much as a backup. Quotemax My point is that sooner or later Goff will get on the field and Fisher can't hide from the results. Fisher won't be able to hide from the results on the field.Sorry Max, wasn't arguing you, just Fisher.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com

The point isn't how the rookies got in the lineup, it's that they are starting and having success. Okay, so the plan wasn't to start each and every one of them but even if their hands were forced, the reality is far less heralded rookies are starting and helping their teams. I don't see why Goff wouldn't be doing the same. Unless he is truly worse than all the other rookies. Let's not forget,by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteJamesJM I think there is, (not you specifically Moklerman), a belief that what Fisher means by 'not being ready' is that he's 'not very good right now'.... or something like that. I don't think that's it. I think it's getting the play right.... if, for example, the WR or TE or RB isn't on the same page as Goff that would be bad. That Goff is currently having, perhaps, to think too mucby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotemax It's been 3 and a half games and Keenum has yet to throw a TD. He's thrown 1 TD in the last 4 games. Over a 16 game schedule that would be 4 TDs. That's really crazy bad. What's worse, Goff isn't even ready to do that!by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRFIP Eagles WRs as bad as Rams, OL too, and their run game stinks!Eagles were 7-9 last year, just like the Rams. Their receiving corps was the worst in the league in drops and drop %. O-line was bad last year but they might be better this year, at least while they're relatively healthy. RB has to be a Rams advantage. So, I'd say at worst the Eagles and Rams are equal on offense in termby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com

According to Google: The phrase 'In over Your Head' is used when one is too deeply involved with something or someone, or has more difficulties or problems than one can manage. You can use the idiom 'In over Your Head' to advise someone he needs help. Sounds like Fisher to me.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
Well, being stubborn and refusing to change with the times is part of Fisher being in over his head. 9 losing seasons out of the last 11 sort of supports the idea that he just isn't a good coach. 4+ years of doing the same things over and over and losing as a Ram seems to indicate that he doesn't have the answers. He's trying what he knows and...well, he's in over his head.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
I agree that Keenum isn't going to succeed without a lot of help, but his lack of arm strength is a big part of the problem. Defenses have absolutely no fear of Keenum throwing his receivers open or just about anything else beyond the LOS.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
I thought it was Spagnuolo who let the players vote on which colors they like and they chose the blue pants? And I thought Fisher just stuck with it because he doesn't like yellow pants.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
I think the other thing Young talked about was more significant. He said the 49ers were playing single high safety man over. Meaning, they only had 1 safety and man coverage on the WR's. Said he felt like he was in the '80's again because modern defenses can't play this coverage most of the time or they'll get beat. But with the Rams, the 49ers felt no threat of getting beaten by the passingby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
You're probably right. Knotts knew he wasn't a good coach and didn't try to convince anyone otherwise. Jerry Lewis thinks he's funny, but isn't. Just like Fisher thinks he's a good coach...but isn't.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
For the Patriots, in 3 years he was 27-21 and went to 3 playoff games. Sure, not HOF credentials but I'd sure as hell take it for the Rams right now and I wouldn't call it "sucking". He's won 10+ games for the Seahawks 4 years running. I don't think the ghost of Holmgren is carrying that team. As far as squeaking by Miami last week, isn't that what a good coach does? Maybe if he's starting, just the unknown factor would be enough to open up the running game a little bit. If the running game gets going, then he's able to pass the ball. I mean, if Carson Wentz, with a brand new, first time HC, new offense being installed, basically no preseason and little practice can come in and lead the Eagles to victory(7-9 last year just like the Rams) then I find it veby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com

Yes, I did see him play. "He" seemed fine. Not great but I didn't see him making a lot of bad reads or bad throws, he was just playing with scrubs. Wentz looked just as ineffective his one appearance but now he's out there and looking decent.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
