People are looking at stats too much and making too many projections. IMO this was an 8-8/9-6 team last year that stayed very healthy and caught a few teams by surprise with some new schemes/coaching...by Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com

but like you said, we will see. I am a Tavon fan and a football fan. I still feel like Austin can be special. So if not with the Rams then I would like to see him get a chance somewhere else... but preferably with the Rams of course :) And not just on the bench. I want to see him play and more importantly succeed. I think he can but of course its getting close to where the "jury" has aby Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
Every week, last year, McVay would be asked about Austin. And every week he would say, he's getting more acclimated to the offense and we have plans for him. Even Austin said about half way into the season that his day to shine was coming. Paraphrasing of course. But Austin's time actually dwindled almost to nothing. So its hard to imagine that McVay is actually optimistic about Austin. I think hby Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com

I just wish I had spent more time with her in the final months of her life. She was my wife's dog but quickly became my dog... we just bonded. I let life get in the way and I always felt there would be more time. And thereby Atlantic Ram - Bucky's Pub
I don't even remember this being an argument with MOST of the board. Anyway, I am guessing it is going to be LESS fun than the Tavon sucks posts every week. But that is really just a relentless few on this board but it certainly seems like most. Anyway, I am hoping Suh finds some new motivation and plays well. Then the argument will be whether the Rams should sign/extend him.by Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
She LOVES the laser pointer and will relentlessly pursue it. She is ready to go as soon as I open the drawer we keep it in. Fortunately she hasn't shown any behavioral issues. She will however look at reflections if they mimic the laser pointer. But its rare and honestly I feel like it probably would have gotten her attention anyway.by Atlantic Ram - Bucky's Pub

Today is nasty, cold and heavy rain... I'll take it. Perspective is a wonderful thing. That would definitely shut Delaware down for a while. We can get some snow but we don't get THAT much for THAT long. I hope you have a man cave.by Atlantic Ram - Bucky's Pub
We got hit with a record number of Nor'Easters this year. We also had this pseudo snow/rain thing happen for about 5 weeks. The temp would be 36 degrees but it would be snowing. Today it was 80.by Atlantic Ram - Bucky's Pub
I just mean he can be a WR at times and a RB at times. So its more a hybrid position where he can play both positions. Not that there is some kind of hybrid play or something. Although whether or not there is a "package" specifically for him, I don't know. Not sure I have an issue with the nomenclature. It doesn't have to strictly be about gimmick plays. Rams WR's were schemed openby Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
He hasn't impressed as a WR. How much of that is on him I think can still be debatable. I think he can be an effective hybrid WR/RB. He was effective once in a terrible offense. He doesn't really fit into McVay's offense... or at least didn't last year. McVay actually was LESS creative in his use of Austin. The few times he had space he made something happen. I would take a 7th just becauseby Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
LINK When the Rams signed Tavon Austin to a four-year, $42 million extension in 2016, a lot of eyebrows were raised. He was coming off of his best season as a pro, hauling in 52 passes for 473 yards and five touchdowns, while also adding a career-high 434 yards rushing and four scores. And for the third straight year, he brought a punt return to the house, proving his value on special teams.by Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
He said Tavon is going to have to be a receiver. So unless he becomes a true WR, I don't see him playing much. McVay has his system and players have to fit in it. I hope they trade him because I would like to see him succeed somewhere. He is a good football player but I'm not sure he has a place in the NFL. We've really only seen him used properly once and the results were pretty good. Plentyby Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
I'm not sure I've ever seen a QB take as much time in the pocket than Goff. I really hope the game slows down for Jared because he's not always going to have protection like that. He has it all though, and I suspect he will grow into a good/great QB. I think Cooks could be more than a wash. But he had QB's that could put the ball on him in tight/zero windows. but couldn't pull the trigger. On a barely related side note, I do think that Crete bares enough of a resemblance to Plato's Atlantis that it should just be considered as such. If Homer's Troy is going to be proclaimed "discovered" then Crete and Santorini have more than enough evidence to be called Atlantis.by Atlantic Ram - Bucky's Pub
The highlights show a lot of "easy" catches. Brady and Brees are going to throw good balls. Goff may not be as accurate. But I watched a few games and he actually has pretty good hands from what I could see. I think he will be a good addition. I also wonder if he doesn't fit the system better being a bit of a Deshaun Jackson clone.by Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com

QuoteAtlantic Ram Austin is to McVay's offense what facts are to an agenda. Credit to ZN who is a machine with his responses... I don't have the patience or delusion that it will be effective. Certainly zero evidence of it yet. I want to apologize, and the board, to zn for the "delusion" remark. It was not meant as an insult. I get the feeling there's something amiss. McVay nearly stopped using Austin as the season progressed. I think he would prefer players who fit in his system instead of creating wrinkles in the offense. And who can argue with the results? I hope Austin gets traded mostly in hopes that a good OC actually use him. And maybe that's not possible. But to watch him waste away on the roster because heby Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
Hated every minute of it. I remember getting my "How the F did I become 40" mug 10 years ago. And 10 years flew by so fast... I started trying to be bored to make time go slower. I have a theory, or maybe just an idea, that the older you get the more you know what you like to do and the stuff the you will enjoy. I feel like I am still somewhere in my prime. IMO, its apples and oranges. And if Bradford had gone to a team that could have groomed him and put some talent around him, I feel like we wouldn't be having this "debate". It just goes to show, for me anyway, that some success in the NFL, especially as a QB, has to do with luck... the kind you can't make. Hindsight 20/20, I don't think he had a shot.
