but players that were at the top of their positions because of skillsets and smarts and maximized their abilities. Just learned the game (had great knowledge) and skills for the role/position they had. A bunch of that is subjective and need to be based on eye test and can't be quantified based on stats alone so the older players that I never have seen play were not in consideration for me.by Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
Here are my top professional sports players, best at their craft. In no particular order Baseball - Pete Rose and Ozzie Smith Football - Cooper Kupp, Jerry Rice, Peyton Manning Basketball - Larry Bird, Stephen Curry Hockey - Wayne Gretzkyby Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
Other than maybe Jerry Rice and Larry Bird, I think Kupp and Curry are the 2 best at their craft players in professional sports history. When I say that, I mean, being fundamentally sound, highly skilled, and smart to play your position in a team sport to the best of your ability. Remember the days we had so many on this board thinking it was a close call between Kupp and Reynolds as aby Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
Thought maybe Kupp should be a #4 WR on a roster. That may explain why he left the country! :partytimeby Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
He probably had a sprinkle of A's, B's, C's But that offense was a glaring F. Was about the worst offense in NFL history and just kept getting worse every year he had his thumb print more engrained in it.by Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com

If the Rams trade for a player in the last year of a contract, that player plays through the end of the season and signs a free agent contract the following season with some other team, do the Rams get a Comp Draft Pick?by Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
Power, elusiveness, and smooth running style. All represent Rice, Fitzgerald, and Kupp. Kupp just is hard to tackle for these reasons. Similar to Fitzgerald and Rice. Kupp just gets open because his feet and smooth running style of changing directions at full speed. Similar to Fitzgerald and Rice.by Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
People throw out names like: Edleman or Welker from the Patriots or even Danny Amendola. Instead of names like the guys he really plays like: Jerry Rice and Larry Fitzgerald Here it is: This is as simple as it gets: Results scream Kupp is big play player versus a 5 yard turn around and catch and go down player. 1) First in the NFL in Yards after the Catch these past few yearsby Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
agree stay the course unless forced because of cap. McVay's ability to scheme different players strengths on a play requires good receivers across the board.by Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
Rams do not need to end up like the Packers or Chiefs with just 1 WR weapon. At least the Chiefs have a great tight end too. The Packers really have nothing behind Adams. No way I trade Woods unless it just is necessary for cap reasons and than only if OBJ is for sure ok. If I had to trade him, trade him out of the conference. The Chiefs really need that #2 guy.by Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
That is what makes the Rams special and better than the Chiefs and Packers who don't get it. You need multiple weapons to attack and create space. It doesn't surprise me that the Packers coach is clueless, but can't get it with the Chiefs. I know all about the salary cap, but they could have pursued with OBJ or Jackson or somebody at the trade deadline and the Chiefs did nothing.by Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
Brady needs to once win with a team that is not the best in the league. Tampa Bay had the most talent and probably the 2nd best coach in the NFL and the Patriots had the best coach of all time. Go to Jacksonville and win and then maybe he can really be the GOAT vs being a good quarterback on the teams that are GOATs.by Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
Watching that video, you just want to be a part of a team coached by McVay! Wouldn't it be great to have a president with leadership qualities of McVay. Transparent, Innovator, positive high energy, thinking ahead planning, preparation, acceptance of responsibility good or bad, a problem solver, a uniter. I don't think we have had a president that leads like McVay in my entire lifetime anby Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
Cooper Kupp is amazing. He is a special player. We talk about competitive greatness all the time being your best when your best is required. He embodied competitive greatness today. Big catch after big catch. He does so many things that we have no chance to be here without Cooper Kupp.by Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
See Chiefs and Packers failures trying to shortchange on that #2 receiver. Woods or OBJ have to be very good #2 receivers or the offense will be like the 2nd half of the superbowl minus the last possession. If neither Woods or OBJ make it back healthy, it could be long season.by Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
spectacular - all of these youtube Kupp videos are just great and there are a bunch out there if you do the Youtube search on Cooper Kupp. Kupp's separation is his preparation! But there are so many good videos and I would advice the Kupp fans to watch them all out there. They are so good and your appreciation that has to be already great will go to a level unheard of. When the going got tough, Stafford to Kupp over and over, game after game. You have to make plays and be willing to take risks. Play to win. Stafford's no look pass, Stafford to Kupp deep against the Bucs blitz, and on and on. That 23 carries for 43 yard just doesn't do it. Almost cost the Rams the game. Almost any team can stop the run in the NFL. Just commit to it, but if you havby Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
I wonder how Tom Brady and Kurt Warner would have Fared in the mess in Detroit. I know Stafford did have Megatron and had some limited success, but he didn't have a lot other than him and never had a coach like McVay. Stafford comes to the Rams and has weapons like Kupp, Woods, OBJ and a coach like McVay and the total perception of Stafford changes. I wonder how Sam Bradford would have doby Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
because it is good for the sport that year after year, these running teams fall short. Better for society. This idea that you have to accept, settle, for not being able to do great things is not good for society. Be all you can be, overcome obstacles, and don't settle is a much better approach!by Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
Passing wins in NFL 9-3 in playoffs most passing yards win The Rams are 3-0 when having more passing yards than the opponent. If you take out the 49ers fluke win against the Packers because of special teams dominance it is 9-2. The only other 2 games won without the most passing yards were again, the 49ers and the Bengals. 49ers and the Bengals, but in the Bengals win over the Raidersby Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
Do not know where I got that 30 percent but thank you. This is even a bigger eye opener than I thought. so there is the thought that 13% of population deserves 50 percent of the job opportunities or there is discrimination. Hard to understand that logic. I agree the numbers shouldn't drive policy, but it is a reality check that the perception is inaccurate.by Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
We need to start treating all people equal. If I were black, I would want to earn the job because I gave the team the best chance of being successful, not because they get draft picks. Do nothing is the solution. Treat all people equal. Teams that pass up more qualified coaches and choose to have a lesser team, let them do that and lose. I personally don't think there is much discriminby Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
The last 2 years are some of the worst in American history. We no longer value working hard, fighting through adversity, and living a good clean life to the best of your ability regardless of the deck you draw. All the rioting and idea that it is ok to harm others just because you have some adversity has increased crime and now we somehow justify just letting people go for crime without puniby Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com

In an earlier post, there is a photo on that first interception, had the ball been through a foot or 2 to the inside, the defender wouldn't been able to get hands on the ball and Kupp catches. 2nd one was on Kupp when he looked up for the run after the catch and had a drop. I think he takes it to the house. That one was on Kupp, he just looked up too soon to see where the defenders were.by Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
Why in the world did the Chiefs and Packers not recognize the need for a second good WR? It cost them dearly in those losses. Shutdown Adams and Hill and the cupboard is bare! Meanwhile, OBJ puts up a 100 yard game in the biggest game of his career that got the Rams to the superbowl. The Rams have this figured out on NOT devaluing the WR position.
