With all the silence from AD, the only think people can do is "speculate". That leaves the door open for some criticism, merited or not. Many here questioned why he hasn't been on the sidelines after the injury. I get that he was "shut down" but he is still being paid VERY well to be a Ram. QuoteRamgator Why would he be out of sight n mind for almost 2 months? I HOPE he stays but there IS something strange about what is going on. I just think we are seeing the real AD. There is a reason players prefer to have an agent handle on the details for you. IMO, he is being cautious and doesn't want to get injured before his next contract. He saw what happened to Krylar Murray and has spoken to RG3, I am sure. He is trying to do the "smart" thing but the issue is that he IS under contract right now and is not honoring it. I think McVay was "all in" in the beginning of the season but he seemed a bit less enthusiastic as the season went on. He did seem to get a little back once we got Baker onboard. Anyone know? I know he has "invites" but but both of those teams are interviewing several others too. It sure doesn't look like he is the favorite to land either of them. Quotedodgerram QuoteAlbaNY_Ram Yes - if Morris gets a HC gig the Rams get a 3rd in the '23 draft plus a 3rd in the '24 draft. And if Thomas also becomes a HC the Rams get another two 3rd round picks. QuoteAlbaNY_Ram Prior to coming to the Rams Morris had only been a DC in the NFL for 5 games - the first 5 games of the 2020 season. After that he was promoted to Interim Head Coach for the remainder of that season. I don't know how anyone could have gotten a read on what Morris does as a DC in those 5 games, especially since it was in Atlanta and they were running the Tampa cover 2 scheme.by Ramsdude - RamsFootballFans.com
I think he would "promote" Rah to Assistant HC before he would let him go. Having said that, I wouldn't be surprised if McVay is hoping Morris gets his own HC gig somewhere! I just don't see that happening.
