My thoughts exactly Rambro! Skins O last year with Jackson and Garcon, Jackson caught a bunch of long balls last year. I expected to see that again with Watkins. I do not think they are using him as they should. If they could get him going early, it would open it up for Kupp n Woods as the game goes on. I do like what Everett is bringing though!by Ramsfan1971 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRamgator I even fired a shot yesterday. He was not the reason we lost. Maybe a part but not THE reason. I am not saying ME was THE reason we lost, but could have or did affect the mojo of the D. I believe ME will continue to affect unless a major attitude shift takes place. He just does not seem excited to be a part of WE. QuoteXXXIVwin Interesting take. Now that you mention it, I do think ME's holdout could have a lingering negative effect on the WE of this team. This is my point. If ME is more concerned about stats for a contract and not the WE, you could have a lingering effect in the locker room, not to mention possible gaping holes up the middle when WE is not fulfilling assignments. I hope we see the Aby Ramsfan1971 - RamsFootballFans.com
Okay, 24 hours have passed from the disappointing loss yesterday. Before I comment on the title of the topic, let me say the Skins played well. They obviously saw a weakness in our running D and went at it all day. We adjusted some what in the second half, but I must say--Our D did not look like the same swarming D from a week ago. Not only were guys running up the middle, around the end, delby Ramsfan1971 - RamsFootballFans.com
Ok- So the play of our Ram starters was not the most hope inspiring. There were other players that had a good night such as Reynolds. What inspired me the most last night was our opening drive that ended up in the Red Zone, with a fumble, recovery for a TD by the Chargers. The Drive was impressive, but the most impressive was once the fumble was picked up by a Charger LB, he had a clear path-8by Ramsfan1971 - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotechico n da rams Goff only started 1 year at Cal? And no one called him on it? Not only did they not call him on it, he also had no idea Donald still had 2 years on his contract. QuoteRampage2K- QuoteRamsfan1971 If he does not play this year, do the Rams still control his future for 2 years under contract (plus the tag years)? Let me state again--- I want AD on the Rams. It is unlikely you ever receive of equal value or better when you let a talent like AD go. But, if an impasse happens, you need to get young talented and proven player(s) in return. There is only one team I would trade him to for picks and that would be Cleveland. You would be guaranteed high picks that might lead to a great or great players (hopeby Ramsfan1971 - RamsFootballFans.com
Quoterambleon Be patient...we're dealing with a very rare and difficult situation. Trading Donald would be an enormous mistake at this point. And for the love of god, please don't respond to this saying Donald isn't that good, or that he didn't help us make the playoffs. Can't we just talk about Greg Olson's excessive use of hair gel or something? I have never wanted the regular seasonby Ramsfan1971 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteTonyHunter87 Another player or draft pick would have to be thrown in. I believe a LT has more value than a DT. No one is going to give us a bunch of draft picks and pay what he wants at the same time.by Ramsfan1971 - RamsFootballFans.com
Smith is considered the best at his position. He is 26 years old like AD. He is under contract for 8 years. We move Whit to RT and then we have a great OL. Our LT is solved for almost a decade. Let Jerry pay AD the big bucks. Dallas is suppose to have a deep OL and weak DL. Dallas needs help on D. Both teams benefit.by Ramsfan1971 - RamsFootballFans.com
Right tackle is still a question mark. My guess, he would cost too much. not sure how old he is either?by Ramsfan1971 - RamsFootballFans.com
I've been very patient the last 4 years. I've listened to the pro Fish crowd and the hate Fish crowd. I was willing to give him his time. Forget all the excuses of the move. This offense is horrible!!! He is now on his 3rd offensive coordinator. All have been nobody's with no creativity. He needs to stop hiring his buddies and get someone who understands a vertical threat. i hate Steve Younby Ramsfan1971 - RamsFootballFans.com
I have always been an eternal optimist over the last 45 years with the Rams. Every preseason I have hope they will make the playoffs. With the # 1 pick over all, I expected him to be more ready than he has shown. I tried rationalizing that he is only 21, but then I remember Mariotta and Winston were 21, I can't blame Goff. Snisher went all in on this guy. I still have hope plus my fingers are croby Ramsfan1971 - RamsFootballFans.com
Which is it? I just read that it is $30 mil guaranteed. The first report I heard, was for $10 mil guaranteed. Yikes! If it is $30 mil ---- that is a huge gamble!by Ramsfan1971 - RamsFootballFans.com
$42 million over 4 years with $10 mill guaranteed. I think everyone is missing the obvious here. Insurance move that might turn out to be a great deal!!!! They have bought one more year at $10 mill. The Rams are looking for that breakout year. Why take a chance he has a great year and then have to compete in a bidding war. They are willing to risk $10 mil to see if he pans out like theby Ramsfan1971 - RamsFootballFans.com
"and agree with many that he should get time with 1's going against 1's. This QB situation could be a mess where none of them are the answer this season, but it could be a good situation." I do not think this is going to happen. Snisher gave up a boat load of picks for Goff. For those who made it to their seats by kickoff, the Coliseum was electric tonight- inside and out! Only Preseason, but a win is a win!!! First let me say, Goff looked a little nervous in his first series. His int was caused by getting hit on the release. Goff does stand in there and keep his eyes down the field with pressure in the pocket. Second series, he looked good with two big drops by rby Ramsfan1971 - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotesocalmab I was there also, and do agree that Quick makes the team. Duke Williams looks legit also. I wanted to add that Green looked really solid, has a suddenness that Brown lacks. Chase REynolds was first RB on the field, was great with the fans, just do not know where he fits in. I agree with you about Green. I think he will really have to stand out for Fish to keep him. WR I did not include Cooper since he has been injured most of the week. He will get his chance this week. He did play today, but nothing special from what I saw.by Ramsfan1971 - RamsFootballFans.com
My first time watching the Rams inside the Coliseum since the 70's. Great crowd- my guess would be somewhere between 20-30 thousand fans. The great history aside over the 90 yrs since the Coliseum was first built, seat space is pretty tight. People were smaller back then I guess. The temp was around 80 with a nice breeze. QuoteGreatRamNTheSky I think some old faces are going to disappear in the WR group this summer. I disagree in Quick. He made a real nice catch during 7 on 7 which I saw during the live broadcast of the camp by NFL network Tuesday afternoon. I'm not willing to cut Quick just yet. Grits I am a Quick supporter myself. I expected full pads today, but only helmets and shoulder pads. Some hitting, but not full on contact or tackling. Maybe Fisher is trying to avoid injury. What a difference a few days make! I agree with your ab observation. Goff has the tools to be successful. One correction- Goff did throw an int to Jabriel Washington during the second set of 11 on 11. His second day was made ch better than the first day of practice.by Ramsfan1971 - RamsFootballFans.com
Day 2 starts with much better weather. It was about 81 degrees with a slight breeze. It was much more comfortable than yesterday. As with day one, no pads and Chase Reynolds was first man out for practice. He was soon joined by others to work on the ball machine. Today, I focused on our Wr corp.
