Morocco defeats Spain... whom I thought one of the top 5 teams playing in the WC this year. Where did I have Morocco ranked? Well, I didn't.. knew almost nothing about them. So I'm not 'shocked'.... I am surprised... but wow did it make for a good moment.
Morocco is happy.
The celebration, which is still going on and probably will for another few days, was FUN to watch.
Next up Portugal vs Switzerland which according to me, (that means literally nothing by the way), is the most evenly matched game in this round.
It was penalty kicks, by the way. IOW... the match was tied after regulation and OT... it went to penalty kicks. I will always think penalty kicks the dumbest way to break a tie ever conceived of... HOWEVER... and this will make little to no sense... I've come to terms with it. It's soccer, it's how it's done.. who am I am to argue? - JamesJM
