Mary has it, basically it's inflammation that occurs in the colin. Overtime sacs develop and seeds from foods such as broccoli, some berries, anything with small seed like pieces become trapped in these sacs and it causes inflammation and it hurts like bad cramps.
She's given antibiotics and it goes away. There is a special diet for this, but she chooses not to go by it stringently.
