We are in the central valley... very separate from Southern Ca and Northern Ca. I have no idea how they run things... so perhaps I was misleading... I'm only referring to central Calif.
CIF, the ruling authority for central Calif and maybe, don't know, all of Calif. has a computer algorithm that decides your division after regular season ends. I don't know anyone that likes it, although you can bet some if not all of the large schools love it. When they have an off year they can drop down and beat up on a much smaller school. For small schools...
They have a big problem.. if they have a 'good year', (which happens), they're going up to play the larger schools.
We won't know 'for sure' until after the last game.... but the 'projections', (at this time), have us going up win or lose in our last game. Larger schools than us who had a semi-good year will drop down to the division we're moving UP too. So in all likelihood we'll be playing a team that began this year two divisions above us.
Of course if our team was extraordinary... like happens once every quarter of a century IF you're lucky... we'd compete. But we're not extraordinary... meaning a championship for us will take a miracle. never the less... it IS the playoffs, and we're excited about it. - JamesJM
