Santa Monica is very nice

Venice used to be sketchy but it is now gentrified and nice too, but there are pockets still IMHO.

Both areas are very expensive areas...think mutli-million dollar homes nestled between even more expensive communities such as Brentwood and Pacifica Palisades. Upper part of Santa Monica beach is nice....spent a summer living in west LA next to Santa Monica.
