a REALLY cool plane, that's for sure..
Speaking of paint schemes, I was always a huge fan of the Flying Circus.. while everyone in the sky was painting their planes to try and "blend in" with the sky/ground so they wouldn't be seen as easily, here comes Richthofen telling his guys to paint their planes as wild, colorful and crazy as they wanted because he WANTED the enemy to see them coming and be terrified.. I loved everything about that guy's attitude and the absolute respect he gave to the enemy - after shooting them down..
Another plane I always loved - and this should be easy for ya'll to guess - is the Concorde, or sst... and what I loved about it the most, was actually a misunderstanding on my part.. I loved that the nose would lower.. I thought that looked so cool and, initially I thought they flew with the nose lowered like that, which would make for a seriously cool looking airplane.. Then I looked into it more and read the nose is only lowered while the Concorde was taxiing because the nose was so long that the pilots couldn't see over it.. that was kind of a bummer, but I learned to live with it..
