an exaggeration.. I'm so used to the T-38's, which have been flying overhead my entire life, that I pretty much know their routes and times.. but they fly the same routes and stuff every day, so not much show.. every now and then two will pair up, which is about as exciting as it gets.. The base (Sheppard) will do a bona fide air show about every 4 years, with the Thunderbirds and a fairly cool assortment of planes from WWII planes to even a Stealth Bomber once.. Of course they wouldn't let anyone near that thing..
Unfortunately I got transferred out of Public Affairs on base, so if we have an air show I won't be as involved as I used to be.. at the last one I did a Virtual Reality experience that we estimate 20K people went through, as I set up 3 stations running 2 days.. But, those days are over.. sigh...
