play the same schools every year, for the most part. There are always one or two games in which we'll play a school that we may meet every few years.
However -
Not all sports play the same schools.... this because not all schools have the same sports available to their students. Not all small HS's have swimming for example, or tennis or golf.
Kerman's soccer team plays a very different schedule than our football team.
Our football program in the central valley of Calif. was drastically changed for this year.... and the changes were not kind to small schools. It is obvious their intentions... and that is to have all the large city HS's win all the championships in all the divisions, no matter their record. Example:
There is a small High School out in my area - Dos Palos - that is very well known for having an excellent football program. Very small HS. This year they had a great year... 10-0 in regular season. Thus, because of the new rules, they we're moved up 3 divisions and some of the very large HS's were moved down up to 4 divisions... result: Dos Palos had to play a team normally 2 divisions higher than their normal division. They lost on Friday 64 to I think 7? Fresno loves it... a HS there with 4, 5 thousand students can now move down and play a HS with a total enrollment of maybe 400.
They have for all intents and purposes made it impossible for small HS's to ever again win a central valley championship. - JamesJM
