Not a victorious weekend for the JamesJM household... loss by the Varsity on Friday night and another loss by Youth Jr's yesterday.. BUT....

It WAS a great weekend, and two very exciting football games. Our Varsity had a chance in the final seconds to win the game.. deep in their territory, after having lost to the same team 40-12 earlier in the season. Bad news new is my grandson may have torn ligaments in his non-throwing shoulder. We'll know tomorrow.

In youth football we had a goal line stand with a little over 2 minutes to go and leading 8-6.... then couldn't get it past the 5, punted, and Kingsburg took it 40 years for the go ahead score with about 30 seconds to go.... we then drove it down to their 40 and just missed the go ahead TD on a long pass. It wasn't to be... lets see now... that makes 50 years in a row Kingsburg has beaten us in the playoffs? Well, little exaggeration but not much.

My youngest was nearly inconsolable after the game.. BUT.. he had Pops, Grandma, Mom, Dad, big brother Ashton, big sister Sydney, cousin Mason and cousin Gavin (one of his coaches).... so he's fine. Spent the night with his fellow teammates no doubt playing video games until dawn.

As for Pops, (me), good news is the Ram's win tonight. And some of the weekend's heartbreak will be alleviated.
