Carol Burnett, Sonny & Cher, Tony Orlando & Dawn....... Different entertainers would have seasonal specials. I believe The Carpenters had one for Christmas. I remember Paul Lynde had a Halloween Special with Margaret Hamilton (Always loved her. Sweet lady with GREAT sense of humor)
Look at old school Talk Shows. It was about FUN and not Political B.S. I was too young to watch first hand but NOW, I LOVE watching clips on Youtube of Dick Cavett. He'd ask questions and then SHUT UP to let the person FULLY answer.
