Soap Box Derby was never a thing around here

when I was a kid

other then seeing it old TV show reruns like Leave It To Beaver or My Three Sons , that was about the extent of my Soap Box Derby knowledge

always thought it would be cool though, although at that age we were more interested in dirt bikes and go carts

and contrary to belief , Iowa does have hills , although the town in live in is as flat as an ironing board , so even if we did build a Soap Box Derby car , really wouldn't have much places to use it............lol
