CARTOON NETWORK!!! My oldest Son, who is now 22, was watching TV. My ex and I found out when the Nam Vets came to pick up two end tables. I will never forget the guy who had to use a voice box to talk, asked me.....Did you hear they bombed the World Trade Center??? I guess he did not know all the details so early. I assumed it was another car bomb like 1993. I went back inside and changed the channel......and saw ONE tower standing. So help me, I actually found myself side stepping to the side (Like I'd see the other tower) It was surreal as hell. Not 10 minutes later, I could hear the FANG F-15s circling above Jacksonville. Could not see them because it was very cloudy hear. But I know the sound of 6 F-15s in close proximity. I would be recalled to work that night and did a 36 hr shift. All of our Personal Leaves were cancelled through the end of November. Between the concern of other air attacks and....remember all the Antrax crap going around???? We were on extreme alert.
