have fond memories of that band.....had a friend who was a HUGE ZZ guy and beyond....went to school with this friend from 1st grade all through HS save for senior year. This school was totally incorporated together....1st through final graduation.....very rare IMO to experience.

When that was done we ended up in the same college, he bought a open top Jeep..like the Renegades today...ZZ Top all the way. At the age of 30 he passed from a brain hemorrhage....shook me to the core, made me think WTF is life for etc.....To this day I always remember Fandango and him blasting it out from his stereo in that open top Jeep....yes doing up a 8-track.....

Later in life I saw them with their tour when they had live animals on stage (can't remember the name of that tour)...They really hit it big with those MTV vids with the Hot Rod and the gals hanging out in those shorty dresses etc.....Funny thing about that concert, I can usually think of who was the line-up (somewhat now, I mean those years have flown by), but I just can't remember who was the opening band at that show.....I wonder why.....
