Keep in mind - I have never seen a single episode. I have to think it would since it's a period piece.

I've never even heard of Pinky Blinders. I can't even guess what that's about?

I had never seen an episode of The Waltons either. Not till a couple of months ago. There are 9 seasons and 6 additional made-for-tv "reunion" movies. The first 5 seasons are absolutely excellent and it was in those first 5 years that the show was widely acclaimed and was nominated for and won so many Emmy's. It's wholesome, good family fare. You can't lose 3 of your 5 main stars, though, and expect the quality of the show not to suffer and that's exactly what happened. By the middle of season 9, four of the five main stars were long gone and the fifth one, Ralph Waite, was fired due to budget constraints. The show continued to limp along through about 10 more episodes until it finally just petered out and died not looking at all the way it began. If you're looking for something more adult and dramatic, then maybe this isn't for you. RAMbeau and I watch so much drama and violence in other shows that The Waltons provides a nice change of pace. The Waltons has become one of my favorite shows of all time, even with its warts near the end.

Peaky Blinders is a British period crime drama television series that follows the exploits of the Shelby crime family in the direct aftermath of the First World War. The fictional family is loosely based on a real urban youth gang of the same name, who were active in the city from the 1890s to the early 20th century. Season 6 is being filmed as we speak and I think I read that it may be the final season. One of the stars of the show, the actress who played Aunt Polly, just died about a month ago of cancer. No one knew she was sick because she and her family chose not to reveal her illness until after her death.

The show is very, very, very good. IMDB rates it 8.8.
