The Wire and Breaking Bad I've heard about quite a bit, from friends... especially Breaking Bad... right now that's at the top of lost to try but I'm far from a final decision.
Game Of Thrones I have heard about the most.... from friends, all praise... but the genre, topic, just doesn't appeal to me. Never the less... I may give it a go... just too much praise for me to ignore. - JamesJM
The Wire is gritty and as raw as you could possibly depict the drug trade in the inner-city. It details its influence on police, schools, and government.
I was one of those people who had heard about Breaking Bad, but never checked it out until the series finale. I kinda glad that it turned out that way as I was able to binge-watch it instead of having to wait a week for the next episode. Just a great storyline and very witty.
Game of Thrones, though...it's epic. Yes, the Dungeons & Dragons/fantasy genre can throw people off a bit. But it is well-acted, unpredictable (for those who haven't read the books), and engrossing. I forgot how many seasons it ran (7 or 8), but all are very good except for the final one which is clear that they rushed for some reason. HAD to see what happened in Episode 2 (after watching the ending of Episode 3) and was absolutely hooked by the end of Season 1.
