or maybe it's just getting 'used to it'? I've known many beekeepers, having grown many crops requiring hives for pollination.... all of them shake off a bee sting like it never happened.
Wasps, however, and as you point out, are much worse. Never the less.. you get stung enough and while I wouldn't dare say 'you get immune to it' you do get.... well, I guess accustomed to it? Accustomed to it BUT... yes, you will leap from a tall building to get away.
Reminds me a bit of electrical shock. I worked as a computer repairmen in the Army.... constantly checking voltage, amps, etc. I got shocked daily, (mildly), sometimes badly but that was rare - but it did happen. I got so used to it that the 'mild' shocks, (not the bad ones), I wouldn't even use my multimeter... I'd just grab the connections to see if there was flow. What would cause most people to shriek I barely noticed. - JamesJM
