Its about 15 miles from my house , one of these days I'll visit.

In October I made a surprise visit to my parents back in California. My dad casually mentioned he had some flak and he wanted me to have a piece. I'm 63 and never saw it before. He had 3 pieces he'd picked up from the cabin after a mission. I have 2 siblings. I got my choice and had him sign and date what it was, told him it was worth more on eBay that way and he laughed.

I have a sextent my uncle brought back that was used on a B17 . My uncle turned in the one he'd had used and then he borrowed one from the turn in area and brought it home. I have his log book he used on missions.

Years ago my dad and that uncle, moms brother, went to a air show and contemplated going fora ride on a B 17 again. They decided not to push their luck and didn't.
