When SST saw the cat that had been hit? I KNOOOOWWW people have a higher regard but there is a weird mystique about losing an animal. Is it subliminal because they cannot talk but connect with us in a different way?? As a Firefighter, I have been to MANY fires where the family pet(s) did not make it and it bothered me more than some of the deceased PEOPLE I have seen. I know I have grown cynical as hell towards mankind and do have a higher regard for animals but it is still something other than that.

P.S. And HOW the hell is it you can be just FINE and dealing for hours and then BAM!!!! Someone is squirting onion juice into your eyes???? (sigh and lol)
