EVH is also a mediocre keyboard player.. stuff he plays on keyboards can be easily played by every organist in every church, or beginning keyboard class around the world.. Nothing at all to get excited about for a guitarist OR a keyboardist.. its just mediocre playing..

So, what T's guitarists off, is that the Guitar God they love, prefers to paly mediocre keyboards because he's bored with guitar.. and its NOT a good trade off for guitarists.. or keyboardists.. Anyone with a Walmart keyboard can play Jump.. So, why does a Guitar God hafta put down his guitar to tinker with beginning keyboards? That's the issue.. Not that people don't like the song Jump.. Its that the hardcore Van Halen fans, who are accustomed to guitar wizardry don't prefer something that could be played by, say, Flock of Seagulls..
