To me, drip always meant an idiot or uncool person.. I have not heard that its been repurposed into meaning its 'cool' so, no I didn't get it right.. Its ok, that's fresh.. now I know 'fresh' is getting to be an older term, but meant 'cool' when it was introduced as a slang term - maybe from "The Fresh Price of Hollywood"..? I dunno..
'Hip' to me, has always meant you're 'with it'.. you're up to date on the times and you're 'cool'..
Lots of words don't get used regularly anymore.. 'far out' was a favorite of mine, again, meaning 'cool'.. 'groovy' again meaning 'cool'.. I guess if you think about it, there have been SO many variations of slang terms to mean cool - changing with the decades, apparently - that 'drip' must be the newest addition to gaggle of groovy words to mean 'cool'.. Far out, man..
Friendship is like peeing your pants.. Everybody can see it, but only you can feel the warmth..
