Yes better forest management would help such as managed logging. However, what's happening in Northern Cal and in Denver, etc is a direct result of climate change. The jet stream, for the first time anyone can imagine-at this time of year-totally reversed pushing hot warm across the plains westward toward the Pacific. That left Denver in a cold vacuum causing snow conditions. It also created Santa Ana type winds in Oregon -not So Cal-rushing hot air down from mountains where it picks up speed as it travels down into the valleys. Climatologists know that a reverse in the jet stream is climate caused. We are likely to see this as the new norm.
