I place emphasis on the 3rd hypothesis because avoidance of hospitals out of fear of contracting Covid-19 was mentioned several times in the 3rd referenced article that focused on cardiac issues in Europe (in particular, Italy and Spain).

But the referenced pieces do little to support the notion that lockdowns lead to more deaths than Covid-19.

Just because you want to believe it doesn't make it true.

It is also looks like covid 19 itself results, for some, or many, in heart problems. It is possible that people can get a seemingly mild case of covid-19 that leads to either long term heart damage. It is also apparent that many people with heart issues avoid hospitals and medical care out of fear of contracting the virus.

Yes, the Denver study made a quick reference to the possibility that a Covid-19 infection could have been the underlying cause of a couple of the cardiac arrests that they saw over the two-week period.

However, it made clear that the coronavirus testing in use in early-April was unreliable making true diagnosis very difficult.

Nevertheless, I believe that there is a point to be made with respect to some the public health orders, specifically the ones prohibiting some elective procedures, that could stand a review.
