One summer in high school I went to the same drive-in three times in the same week with three different girls. By the third visit the ticket guy was laughing out loud when he sold me the tickets. My date asked what he was laughing about and I said I had no idea. I remember there were always double features and at least one theater would show the first film again after the second one for a kind of triple feature.
Remember double features? The last movie theater to show them in my area closed there doors in the late 80s. That was a neat theater, they had 4 screens and the back two rows on one side of the aisle in each theater was enclosed in sound proof glass for people with babies. It even had a changing table.
