Fire blankets. Yes...But to a degree.

There was a group in Colorado that used them a few years back and were essentially cooked like baked potatoes. But they HAVE saved lives. During my class, we had a drill to see how quick we could pull them from a pouch, insert ourselves, lay down and zip up.
