I binged on "horror." Which led me to read Poe's "Tales of Horror". . . and Dante's "Inferno" (I picked it because it had all kinds of scary figures on the cover). . .and of course the old Dracula and Frankenstein flicks among many others at the Saturday afternoon showings at the Castamba.

So I've been desensitized to the "spooky". . . .I've watched the supposedly most scary ones and the best I can do is "Meh."

What scares me now are your jokes. Those emit screams of horror.

"Duel" was another early 70s TV flick that spooked me as a kid.
