I mentioned we are raising two kittens for an adoption agency.... once ready we were to return them to the agency where they would be put up for adoption. Well... not if my granddaughter has any say in it.... and she does.
One we will be keeping. The other will go to one of my daughters who just got a cat... the kitten she will take to be a companion for her cat. We think our two cats learned and adjusted so well because they had each other.
And then there is this: In my first post about our cats, when Luna was still with us, I wrote how Luna won me over, she liked me.. the other cat - "Kylo"... wouldn't have a thing to do with me.
Kylo likes my grandson. Tonight I was in my bedroom watching a movie when I was called to dinner... I waited until a scene in the movie ended and paused it then headed for the kitchen. Kylo came whizzing by my leg, then collapsed in front me wanting to be scratched. Luna did that to me every time I walked anywhere in the house... Kylo had never, not once, until tonight. In fact.... while Kylo would lie still if I walked by, even forcing me to go around... if I made a move to pet him he would bolt away like Aaron Donald trying to sack him. And now, suddenly, out the blue, he's accepted me?
I think I will never understand cats... maybe that's the way it's meant to be.
