Never got to play this song live... as much as I begged my band to learn it they wanted nothing to do with it. They hated this song with a passion. Well... maybe they had a point.

I DO love this song but I have to be honest... it's not the 'song' as much, (for me), as it is the drum beat. This post is about 'why'.

It's not even CLOSE to the best drum beat I've ever heard... but it IS unique... and beyond that... it's played on a drum kit that perfectly matched my acoustic kit when I have it fully set up.

unique - - ... and you 3 should notice this, the drummer uses TWO snares. I have two snares on my 'full' kit... a standard snare and then another I use for a very high "pop". Can't tell you how many times I've played this song, with headphones, in my garage.

Now shouldn't have to say this... not posting this to see if you like the actual 'song'... has nothing to do with it. It's the beat... and in case you can't 'hear' it... it's the 'pop' snare you hear just before he hits the "DOUBLE" bass note. - JamesJM
