We are a strange lot, Steve...

I had NO DOUBT you would understand.

Now a bit of a tangent.... this one has caused me some grief over the years. Believe it or not in my 'early' days I was a dancer, and a good one. Won awards. I can't remember the last time I 'danced'. I PLAY, I don't dance anymore. My wife hates that BUT.. and it took a LOT of time, today she 'gets it'.

Even when I'm watching another band... and this includes a concert with a FAMOUS band.. MEGA-Famous... for the most part I sit in the audience as appreciative of the music as anyone BUT... I want to be on stage. I want to be playing. I don't want to be stuck in a chair in the audience... EVEN AS MUCH AS I AM ENJOYING THE MUSIC!!!!!!

I think, maybe, a lot of athletes are like that... retired these days and watching the NFL after having played I think they watch, love it, but in their minds they're thinking - "I want to PLAY". - JamesJM
