Several things, although I know that you’ll never change your mind.
I read just yesterday that 39% of USA Covid deaths came from nursing homes. Think about that.
#1. Please don't start with opening lines like that. When was the last time YOU changed YOUR mind about any of this? To just be fair and honest, you repeat the same things regularly--no matter what info anyone posts in response to you. So be more fair in how you address people. That's not a lot to ask.
#2. Think about that? Lol.
43--my wife is an RN who works with the elderly. You are preaching to the husband of the choir director. And--Sweden's death rate in nursing homes
WAS HIGHER THAN THAT. That means this--and that's whether we like it or not. That means that the one place that tried your "everyone else is free just isolate and protect the vulnerable" approach FOUND IT DID NOT WORK. And that's according to Sweden's own policy makers.
Read all the way through, please. Read the quote.

According to a study May 6 by John Hopkins University, the death rate in Sweden is currently at 28.88 for every 100,000 people. In the United States, which has the most number of cases worldwide, the death rate is 22.44.
Furthermore, statistics released May 6 from Sweden’s National Health and Social Affair’s office showed not only that 90 percent of COVID-19 victims were 70 years and older, but that half of those elderly victims were living in government-run retirement homes.
