Only watched half of Fort Apache last night... will finish it today. I'm very impressed so far. A plethora of really good character actors. Fun to watch Shirley Temple. Also odd to see John Wayne in a subordinate role... which I suspect will change in the 2nd half.
Longmire - I think every friend I have had recommended this TV Series to me.... so I got around to watching it. I thought it was somewhat 'new'... but it's actually from all the way back to 2012. Short and sweet - I like it a lot. So much so that I'm NOT going to mention here a couple things about it that bug the hell out of me. VERY original in many ways.
Also - - About 3 or 4 days ago I got into a "Native American" genre.... (that's how I chose Fort Apache being one of the first and only movies to portray Native Americans in a positive light), only to discover there really aren't that many, at least not available on my streaming services.. Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime. So... I stuck with the 'genre' but switched from movies to documentaries. I haven't made a list yet but I can say that just about anything regarding the Anasazi's fascinates me.
Sidenote: Watched "Call Of The Wild" for the 3 time in 3 days. Yes, I like it, but not really that much... 3 days running because we didn't watch it together as a family... my youngest grandson and I watched it, then my granddaughter and me, then my wife and I.
Ok..off to finish Fort Apache. - JamesJM
