our band leader was a cool cat....he drove an MG-T type....the ones with the fenders and running boards....had a leather strap hold-down for the hood. He would always get us the latest sheet music. We played Norwegian Wood, Theme from MASH, and the Theme from Shaft among others. He sure made band class fun...... Had a temper though had a guy effing up and the guy wised out something Hamden punched him out in front of everyone, I and others laughed...others mouths went open...From that day on the kid kept his mouth shut and rarely messed up...and no Mr. Hamden did not get in trouble.....
