About all I know about it comes from a conversation some school administrators/teachers were having. IF, big if, they were right... the overall 'opiod crisis' crises includes Heroin addicts... is that right?
The whole thing confuses me.... how and for what are these pain killers being prescribed? Then refilled often enough to maintain an addiction? Doesn't it seem like an 'addiction' would be very apparent to the doctor issuing the prescription?
Or maybe it's mostly illegal opioids coming from some type of 'black market'?
As far as 'heroin'... I hear very little of that around here these days BUT I do remember some 30 years ago or so it was a big problem. Seemed to me that had ebbed, considerably... but then, I don't hang around with many heroin addicts so how would I know?
What I do hear about, a LOT, is marijuana use in schools. I know of several, yes several, local kids.. well, Kerman that is, that have been kicked off sports teams for smoking grass.
