Our Bass player has gout, severely, or so he says.. he's a bit of a hypochondriac. With him at all times is every pharmaceutical manufactured on earth. Not sure who his doctor is but he must be good. My doctor only recommends infomercial herbs and supplements.
By the way, if you ever meet him he's no fun at all.. whatever you have/had he had/has it worse than you.... BUT.. he will have a pill specifically manufactured for whatever it is you mention.
Gout. Your warning is heeded... it is, apparently, an undesirable affliction. The only thing 'worse' that I've heard tell of is Shingles - SO bad that getting scooped up into a corn reaper would be preferable.
Now since you brought it up... I would have to say the most 'miserable' condition I've ever fought thru, (not the most painful, just miserable), was poison oak... which I normally don't get, even if I roll around in it... BUT... this ONE time I did. Your good advice deserves a return favor... if you ever make contact with poison oak - - - BEFORE it starts to take effect do NOT scratch your family jewels and spread it to your nether regions. Think of two apples lying for a couple of weeks in the Mojave desert on a July day. - JamesJM
