Remember the original "Marlboro Man"? I don't know his name, I've forgotten it. He used to work on Traction Ranch... about 2 miles north of me. The owner and his sons were good friends of mine. I didn't ever know the Marlboro Man but saw him often... in our local grocery store... sitting on the coke machine talking with the other locals.
So I thought... what famous people grew up near you, perhaps attended High School with you. We had several, actually... ummmm, but none really household names. People who went on to do well in Hollywood... couple that made it to Broadway, 2 or 3 musicians. One became Lt. Governor of Ca. Nope, you wouldn't recognize any of their names. I don't even remember them all.
All of which means: You can most likely easily top me for having a brush with fame. - JamesJM
