Route 66. One thing for sure... one of the best, if not THE best, theme song for a TV show EVER..... So I was off to good start, but...
What they put that Vette thru sends cold shivers down my spine. People sitting on the hood, driving in blowing dust with the top down, most of the show I'm gritting my teeth.
Route 66 is FULL of things that make no sense. I can put that aside, however.... because it's two rebels without a care in the world, contributing nothing other than saving the life of the occasional stranger, perpetually finding gorgeous women even in the middle of the deserts.
Just watched an episode with Suzanne Pleshette guest-starring... my my my, that lady was a 'looker'. They left her in the end and headed on down Route 66.... that's one powerful theme song.
I wasn't an avid viewer of Route 66 when it first aired... saw few episodes, remember none. Only season 1 is free on Amazon Prime, (I think)... and I'm dying to know... did they have a goal? A Destination? Did they ever achieve their goal? I hope not.
Because I prefer to think they are still out there, somewhere on Route 66. - JamesJM
