I'd recommend getting something with some of the newer creature comforts like Bluetooth and make sure it's 4k compatible.
Mine has never given me any technical trouble, but if you're not tech savvy, this type of unit is definitely not for you. Very complicated menu systems, but again, once you get it rolling, dont ever touch it and it sounds great. I'm not driving any large speakers with it so it's not being pushed. At or close to reference level, it kicks azz! It'll drive the wife out of the room.... heh heh
Hopefully the newer models have taken some of the pain of the setup and menus out of the equation.
