In that format it really DOES make you feel you are part of the action. I won't be a bit surprised if both the soundtrack and the cinematography are nominated for an Oscar. One problem I had-and its my age-was the loudness. I mean really loud !! The movie was all action from beginning to end. To me-it was an assault on all my senses-especially my hearing. Much of the camera shots were done by hand and not on some rolling track so you really feel like your involved in the air attacks, on small boats rolling in rough seas, etc. I've just never felt so beat up after seeing a movie. I don't think it's a movie that one enjoys but rather experiences. I most certainly recommend it for that.

It also provides some hx in the dialogue with the Navy commander-mainly how Churchill knew the war was coming to the homeland and was very judicious in the allocation of troops and backups on foreign land. And of course that played a role in the evacuation -which is what the movie is all about.
