was that Humble Pie album.
This was my favorite....
Saw them on their first US tour at the Fillmore West. They were 4th bill, if you can imagine. Saw them again about four years later.
Excellent choice of songs. I wish I had seen them in their day. Closest I got to that was seeing Frampton tour in 1975, which was the source for his famous "live" album. Foghat and Gary Wright were on the bill. Foghat had its share of great party songs, too, though I'm not sure they'd rate with an entire album at the top of the heap. Same with Queen.
Like this one:
Queen, at least after their first two Zeppelin-like albums, stopped being all rock, all the time, and tended to include just a couple high octane songs per album. I wish they had done a lot more of the edgy, high-flyin' hard rock stuff.
Anyway . . . Bad Company is another band we loved to party to, especially their debut album. But it had a lot of slower, bluesy songs, so was better (overall) at the end of parties than the beginning, with a few exceptions.
