Funny you mentioned that. My grandson LOVES pizza. Today after school we were talking about pizza and the fact that we've never tried making a pizza together from scratch. The last time I made my own pizza was quite a few years ago when I had a lot of food restrictions due to my interstitial cystitis and had no choice but to make my own pizza at home. As it turned out, my interstitial cystitis was really bladder cancer but my point is... for almost 2 years I couldn't eat anything acidic so that ruled out tomato-based pizza sauce. I learned to make a white pizza sauce and also a pizza sauce made from roasted red bell peppers, carrots, and beets. This pic is really old, but it's the first pizza I made totally from scratch. From what I remember, it was pretty good!
