About 30 years ago a guy who owned like 6 local ones went bankrupt and they all closed overnight and none of them ever reopened. That last one close to me closed like 4 years ago. It was hands down one of the worst fast food restaurants I had ever been to. It was run like lord of the flies. Right now the closest BK to me in over 10 miles away.
I think I read an article a few years ago that they were hurt'n nation wide. I know if you compare similar items to MC'ds, Wendy's, Jack in the Box or DQ, BK's prices are about 20% higher so that's got to make it hard to keep the doors open.
