will be devastating. Now don't think I'm well educated on this, I'm not, but what little I have read indicates that the fault lying just offshore in Oregon is massive and when it goes, just a matter of time, yikes.
Most of the coastal towns in Oregon have evacuation routes clearly designated.
Some of the guesstimates about wave heights I've read say they could reach a half mile in height. If so I'm not sure I'm safe here in central Calif. at an elevation of about 165' and 80 miles from the ocean. Should a half mile high wave hit what's to stop it from entering the bay at SF and flooding the entire Sacramento and San Joaquin Valley?
