but I don't remember the Sears that we had having clothes...
But we didn't go to a lot of places. We ate out at a place called Pappy's Pizza maybe once every few months. We would go to a place called Ames, which was just a department store and also Eckards which was a pharmacy but also did film... and they had a selection of toys and sporting goods. Sometimes we would go to Woolworths department store. And that was pretty cool because they had coins and stamps... many of which I still have and I'm sure all of them are still worth the pennies that I paid for them. lol. But if I could get closer to filling my stamp collecting book it was worth it. Also went to a place called Bodie's which was a small convenience store that had candy and comic books.
The only other place I remember going to as a kid was the mall but all I remember about that was the mosaic tile mall logo that you walked over to enter the mall... and I might remember the water fountain inside but I don't remember a single store. There was a JCPenney but it was mostly clothes I think.
Once a year maybe my dad would go to tastee freez and buy 10 cheeseburgers. I never understood why we didn't eat there more often but we just didn't. And I think I remember getting KFC but I'm not sure. We just never went to places really. Mom had dinner on the table at 5:30. I watched Sesame Street on a black and white countertop 9" TV and played outside. 95% of days were just that.
