I'm still hyperventilation.
Plus we had 3 turnovers and still managed to pull it out! Tale of two half's. First half it looked like both teams could score at will... or at least get long drives. 2nd half the defenses took over.
Rain held off just long enough.... started raining about a mile from the stadium when I left for home. Long drive. 88 miles! I didn't realize Porterville was that far!
Grandson did ok but not his best game. They switched his position for this game which I thought was a bad idea... especially since he's a Freshman. He didn't give up any big plays but he was confused out there. In the 4th they moved him back to the position he had played all year and it was much better.
Porterville was a damn good team.
So we play Madera next week for the Sectional championship. I think that Coalinga vs Shafter game next week for D4 is it? - is going to be a great one. - JamesJM
