I would assume. You have water and wind involved so I would board up anyplace where wind+debris could break through, sandbag lower areas, and as with any emergency staples such as water, batteries, dry foods that require no heating.....maybe even look closely at trees around your building and trim it back pre storm.
We have been hit somewhat by this storm up in the middle of NC, not real bad, but living in low areas and near a creek/water system has caused flooding along with fallen trees causing power outages. We live in a semi wooded area, but a lot of our lines have been left clear, and we are a few miles from any water systems.Came in this morning rather fast and it's now a clear sky with a stiff breeze lingering.
Been to FLA a few times months after a hurricane and the foliage smells like rotten dead flesh......Went to New Orleans a year or so after Katrina and the water level marks were easy to see in areas, same as Charleston SC when we went there years ago......many places leave natural markers on the buildings showing the height of the surge.
