Thanks, Les... it sounds like you have experience, and I respect that.

But... my feeling at this point (11 months as of today), and from talking to others who have experienced the same loss... is that the hole will never go away. It may or may not get smaller, but it will always be there.

I'll learn to live with it. I'll be okay. I promised her I would, and I will. But I'll always love her, and I'll always miss her. I don't think that will ever go away, and honestly.... I don't want it to.

On a lighter note... I don't know how old sstrams is, but I'm 66 years old, and I haven't seen any single attractive women my age.
And... my daughter told me last week I will not be allowed to date for A WHILE anyways... I said, "a while?" She says, "I can't give you a number... but it will be A WHILE!"

I'm okay with that.

I am pretty sure a lady at Texas Roadhouse was trying to find out if I was single once though. If she had been attractive the conversation would probably have gone the same way, but I would have been more flattered.
