Had a very good friend from the USAF who went through the same thing. They were married 27 years and NEVER EVER showed signs of trouble. But one of them obviously was not happy. I never asked and it was never mentioned who made the move.
Ironically, my Mom and Dad were married 27 years but they were NEVER close. My Mom would say 27 years but 26 years and 10 months too long.
